Year 11 will have a different timetable after half term, including block revision sessions before their exams. These are compulsory sessions and students must attend as if it were a normal day. Students will be allowed to go home early after the sessions or after their exams. Click here for the Year 11 timetable.
Military vehicles visit UTC
Our cadets had the opportunity to explore the vehicles used by the army during their weekly Combined Cadet Force (CCF) enrichment. The students also took part in leadership and team building activities. Visit the photo gallery to see more.
Civil Engineering Launch Evening

Proud Letter Assembly

Network Warrington Inspires Students
Students in Year 10 enjoyed a trip to the headquarters of Network Warrington. They took part in a Q & A session to learn more about apprenticeships and also took an exclusive tour around the engineering facilities. Click here to read more.

We are proud to be working with Warrington Youth Club to embed National Citizen Service (NCS) into the Year 12 curriculum. Morrison’s Career Talk
Thanks to Matt and Simon from Morrison’s logistics who spoke to students in Year 10 and Year 12 about how engineering and manufacturing aids large UK businesses and the skills & characteristics required of future employees! There are lots of opportunities for work placements, tours and future apprenticeships.
We hope you have enjoyed a relaxing two week break. A reminder that the summer term begins on Monday 23rd April for all students. Please ensure your son/daughter arrives by 08:30am – attendance is crucial, particularly with exams and vital lessons over the coming months.

Spectroscope in a Suitcase
The University of Manchester School of Chemistry have joined us to deliver the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Spectroscopy in a Suitcase workshop. This has enhanced the Year 12 and Year 13 understanding of spectroscopic techniques and the contexts of chemistry in real life situations.
Future Year 12 Tasters
Our future sixth form taster sessions were well supported by our existing Year 11 cohort and external applicants joining UTCW. Students spent the evening using the industry-standard equipment in the engineering workshop, including lathes, forging and welding. Click here to see the pictures!
Year 11 Jekyll and Hyde
A group of Year 11s headed up to Blackpool yesterday to watch a theatre performance of Jekyll and Hyde which they’re currently studying for their GCSEs.
Year 10 Interview Skills
Year 10 have been learning about interview skills and how to represent themselves to employers! Thanks to local businesswoman Pamela Cunliffe for delivering these sessions!
